"Why we are here..."

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act, and how we handle stress, relate to others, and why we make the choices that we do. Mental health is important to overall health and well-being at any stage of life - childhood, adolescence or adulthood. New Spruce began with the recognition that there are unmet mental and behavioral health needs in Columbia and Greene Counties. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Meet the team

"People seem willing to explore medications for physical health but are reluctant to do so for better mental health. I do not think we should separate the two."

James Weidel

"The stigmas surrounding mental health hinder the process of achieving our best self. We are here to help you work through those barriers."

Gustavo Tinta

"Mental health is not a destination, it is a process. Today's challenges do not determined where you are going, but where you are starting."

Susan Watson

"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts"
